Harold Andersen, also a student and a football player at Garfield High, who had not yet met Margie, pointed her out to his friends and told them, “See that girl? I’m going to marry her.”

In addition to being a wonderful wife, she was a great mother and many more kids called her “Mom” than she gave birth to. She exuded love. No one could leave her without many hugs and at least 2 kisses.

She loved attending anything the kids and grandkids were involved in, especially sports and dance events. Margie and Harold loved and owned many different kinds of animals during their life together. Midgie, her Maltese dog has been a favorite. She also loved reading, puzzles, music, musicals, camping and hunting trips, and cruises.

Margie is survived by her husband of 69 years, Harold D Andersen, her daughter,  Carole Andersen, her sons, Harold Jr. and his wife Georganne Andersen, John Andersen, Gregory and his wife Kim Andersen, Gary and his wife Tamela Andersen, her daughters, Janell and her husband John Land II, and Margie and her husband Brooks Chapman.

She is survived by 23 grandchildren and their spouses, numerous great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren.  She is also survived by her sister Janet Claudia Samson and her husband David Samson and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by granddaughter, Stacey Land, and great-grandson, Cohen Pittsenberger, her 2 older sisters, Barbara Atkinson and Josie Johnson and their spouses, 4 nieces and a nephew.
